Willows are usually the first trees to grow green, but this Black Willow at the Pool was one of those most afflicted with last year's blight. It seems to be coming around slowly, and I'm not yet sure of its recovery. Similar trees on the Point (below) look a bit livelier, and one hopes it's just a matter of time. In any year, the Babylonian Weeping Willows will outpace our native species in reverting to verdure.
