I went for a walk last night and came across something that rather surprised me.

At least they don’t look as lethal as Christo’s umbrellas.
There are some gardens down there where you can see a surprising number of real butterflies as well, though people are less likely to notice them.

Selma, do you have a blog? if yes, where? if no, why not? I'd love it and I'd be in good company.

No I don't, thank you sally mckay. I sort of got into this by accident and a little bit at a time. Having a blog seems like a big responsibility. But I very much enjoy participating and listening to you all on digitalmediatree (hope that is ok?).
(and thank you so much for the Art School update - this is not an aside. This is great. I really enjoy your perspective and insights. I'm going to have to check out Toronto one of these fine days).

Flattered, thanks. Most household animals are more than a-okay by me. (OMG, I just deleted a comment I had up - for those of you who had read it and taken note I just re-read it, laughed and blushed, realizing it could be read in a very weird richard-gear-urban-myth-kind-of-way and that was so not how I meant it!)

  • What did it say?

  • i remember, somthing about liking gerbils. the funny (ha ha) part is that you pulled the post. no one, i promise you would have connected that post to a richard gear reading. thanks for the laugh. now back to my car-talk rerun...

  • Hah! that is funny. No need to fear the gerblil here.
