Hey, isn't someone supposed to be keeping track? This has been going on for a month, but I had to see it listed in the New Yorker. It's a Paul Laffoley mini-retrospective, and it's up until April 21st. A must for all independent visionaries.
Thanks Alex. I find this guy extrememly interesting. I have a small work of his titled Fetal Dreams hanging on the wall just above my computer. I'm pretty sure it has been influencing my work. Amazing stuff. Here's a little blurb about him (not quite Tom Moody quality, for sure, but it gives you a sense.) And here's a piece called Geochronmechane: The Time Machine from the Earth 1990 Serigraph in colored inks, with color pencil, Edition of 75. 32 x 32". I'll be going for sure if anyone wants to make it into a group thing.
love that piece!!
Laffoley has an essay in The UFO Show, a catalog for an exhibit curated by Barry Blinderman. Laffoley offers an interesting analysis of The Day the Earth Stood Still, a film he says he has seen 873 times. I have an extra copy of the book if anyone wants to borrow it.
Here's a couple pictures from the show.

Yes, I'd love to see that book. I have a hardcover book by Laffoley called The Phenomenology of Revelation (edited by Jeanne Marie Wasilik and published by Kent.) Great book if you'd like to see that one.
