 My introduction to him was randomly coming across his work on Rudolph Schindlers houses and apartment buildings in Los Angeles. I didn't get it at first. It appeared to be a (very dry) regular documentary with identifying text before each sequence and strange deadpan narration, just ambient sounds, like traffic, birds, dogs barking. But I stuck with it and did a little research to understand he was expressing his conceptual practice. A way of mediating modernist subject matter without following the modernist rule book. The architectural centric streaming service Shelter has many of his films. They have a free one month trial. Unfortunately not much on YT.
