Horus Archives is a collection of more than 200.000 amateur snapshots, collected and selected in Budapest by camera-man and film-maker Sándor Kardos.

Please join us at Abaton Garage as we wind up our 2004 season with My First 1000 Wrenches, an installation by Bill Schwarz. The opening reception takes place Saturday, October 30th, 4-8pm. Refreshments will be served, as well as live music by avant-garde jazz/blues singer Devorah Day and psychedelic band Pothole Skinny.

Two things I saw this past weekend that I truly enjoyed.
1. Photos and video by Jane and Louise Wilson (303 Gallery)
2. A work included in the New Museum's new show 'Adaptive Behavior' (and new location). Artist Tonico Lemos Auad turns the lint pills on new wall-to-wall carpeting into small installations. It reminds me of a quote by Hugh Prather: "when I get to where I can enjoy just lying on the rug picking up lint balls, I will no longer be too ambitious."
