good guesses on the margins. yes, programming is more profitable than owning the pipes, which is more profitable than retailing, which is more profitable than making equipment.

Making software USED to be even more profitable than entertainment programming...but maybe the mighty Linux will change all that? still, MSFT looked like a pretty good business last I checked...
