Waxy.org says that loading this page will cause your CD drive to eject if you are using IE on Windows. Is it true?

I have a DVD and CD-R drive--loading the page opened both, one right after the other. Not sure how I feel about that. Violated?
That page is unavailable now, but it occurred to me belatedly--how did that "open the CD tray" command get past my Norton firewall? I should have been prompted with a "_____ is trying to access your computer. Permit?" Ah, peace of mind.
It exploits a "feature" in windows media player. Your firewall is just passing through (seemingly) legitamate WMP traffic.
