The Steve Jobs WWDC (world wide developers conference) keynote is set to kick off in 15 minutes. No quicktime stream nor satellite broadcast this year. I'm on the macintouch IRC channel though (which is already full,) so I should get any news pretty fast.

New displays seem like a sure thing. Maybe new iMacs. Definitely a Tiger (OS X 10.4) preview. Might not be much more interesting than that though. I'll post anything major in the comments.

New displays including a 30 inch monster which requires a G5 tower and a special video card to drive it. $600 for the card and $3300 for the monitor. If anybody needs my shipping address for this lovely gift just let me know!

New Safari browser will have integrated RSS reader. That is going to make me a lot more interested in RSS. Maybe I'll even get around to making the feeds here validate.

The rest is probably only of interest to developers. Lots of cool technology though. Automater looks very promising. Programming for the rest of us.

Tiger won't be out until "first half of 2005" though. I was thinking end of the year. Maybe he just doesn't want to be wrong again like with the 3ghz thing.

As luck would have it, the dual DVI Nvidia card necessary to drive the 30 inch cinema display will actually drive two of the displays. So feel free to double up on the gift if you want (and you still haven't asked for my mailing address....)
