It's a plot alright, but you'll never know.
Scanner Darkly gives the list credibility, but I agree with you, Wilson's Illuminati trilogy should be there for sure. Which reminds me of another time and another great fun book, Silverlock, by John Myers Myers. A good read if you need one, and haven't already.
