Looks like automatic media is gone due to "an inability to secure additional financing." Rest in peace: plastic, suck, feed (and salon?) Too bad. I'll miss them. But I'm not really surprised.
While Salon may well be going down, they don't have anything to do with this. Also, it looks like automatic-media is going to keep plastic going. Seems like the group weblog / slashdot model may be the only way to bring content to the web at this point in time. And frankly, I think it's a good model. I wonder how many people have to pull a salary to keep plastic going? 5? (I'll bet they pay > 20 though.)
