love that car, get the GS Super Wildcat vesion and lets RACE!!.....hum better get my licence......
Yeah, the gransport is both elegant and brutal. Dual carbs!!
I'll never forget the sight of one on Silverlake Blvd. smoking it's tires, I mean just burning them.
I suppose it depends on the definition of the word "race". My 4 cylinder wundercar will trounce any of these dinosaurs in a lap of Laguna Seca. Although a race-prepped Mustang GT350 might beat me.
A memorable track moment occured when I was driving a Datsun 510, fully wound out to 100 mph, and was passed by a big block (1970?) Mustang (a vetran of the Trans-Am series) doing about 160. The roar of the straight pipes on that engine sounded like a flock of Harleys in full song. He blew past me at the end of a very long straight, but I was glued to his bumper through the twisties. Those bias ply tires look pretty freaky in a full-on drift.
Radial tires, disk brakes, and overhead cams are more to my liking.
