yankee truck tip : combat fishtailing by putting a couple of sacks or empty compound buckets full of sand (back behind the wheels) of the bed.
I thought the driveway was all good but I underestimated that long uphill shady stretch and got stuck again today, and good. I got the little jeep, which will not pull the truck, and I found six buckets of sand in the back shed. I did not want to favor one method over another and figured it wouldn't hurt to double up on the problem so I got one of Hermans's extra bags of cat litter and brought that along too. Buckets in the bed, three foot path of cat litter in front of the back tires and I just pulled out of that spot like I hadn't been stuck at all.
ok your an honorary yankee.
and a Canadian! (lotsa great perks)
Ok, cool, as long as I don't have to sing that Canadian National Anthem. I love the extra "U" in some words though, so I'm quite pleased by this turn of events really. Uhh, as for the yank status, those perks are--??? (I can quit slowing down at roadside stands selling Confederate flags, maybe?)
the perks are you get to feel superior to the rest of the country, and the rest of the world if you are so inclined. you will feel better about yourself knowing you are better than everyone else. it a very seductive proposition. hmmm, a false sense of superiority or turducken? the mind reels.........
Let me try that on for size. Herman, come here mane. No, no, I gots to cut that mane shit out. Take two. Herman, hey Herman, comere you hosebag. (meow) What did you just say? What? Speak up. Oh, I see. Well well, that is possibly the most stupid thing I have ever heard.
Well yeah, ok, I see what you mean. I do feel better, superior even. To a f-ing housecat. Ima have to work on it.
(Note to PETA)--no housecats were actually used in this excercise.
one perk of being Canadian was that I never heard of that turducken thing before the other day. Now I feel dirty.
Am I to take it that you have also never sucked crawfish heads? Feeling dirty is just one of the GOOD things about Southern life.
hmmm. okay, I can go there. Also I polled a few 'fellow Canadians' today and they had heard of turducken. So it's not my Candian-ness that spared me, just my ignorance of meat product.
