That was a good one, thanks, so yeah, I'll call it narrative non-fiction. Now if I can just come out of my hole and get my hands on one of those Works in Progress awards. That guy you hooked me up with there in NY about 14 years ago, that remodler, he asked me what I wrote and I said diahrettic fiction and he said oh, so you take things from your life, change them around and make yourself look good, and I nodded, but what I really meant by diahrettic fiction was--loosely based shit. I wasn't even writing at the time, couldn't get over the hump of name changing even then, because all I've ever scribbled has been nonfiction, er, that is, I mean--narrative nonfiction.
