how about this?
Looks a little better than anything I've found so far, and 801 N. Broad (listed address of F&F candle)is literally right around the corner from this (the Dumaine) house. All curses and drama aside, the New Orleans culture really gets my juices going sometimes, and this lastest possible brush with possible voodoo (let me interrupt myself to say that while I was daydreaming very hard what to say next, Jacque Lewis, 12, walked in front of me on his way out with a piece of fruit, and I was thinking, very hard, that he looked very, whatever, Haitian, or something, right out of central casting for that new movie, Voodoo Comes to Slim's House, and he stopped before exiting the house, and I'm still looking at him, and thinking, and like so many before him who have passed that same way, and who I have thought hard about like that, he turned around, walked back into this room and said, "what?" And I knew he thought I had said something out loud to him but I'm telling you true, I had not opened my mouth. He looked at me like all the other kids who have heard me address them, when I really haven't, and his eyes were saying, Mr. Jim sir, with all due respect, you are a lying sack of sh...). Anyway, I'm not all that sure about Voodoo, or Christianity, or any other belief system that perhaps many people believe in wholeheartedly, but one thing that my six years living here in NO has shown me without a doubt--there is on occasion some pretty weird otherworldly shit going on. Well, I was just gonna say thanks for the link, now look at what I've gone and done. Thanks for the link.
