I've sent it to the memory hole already. I captured a couple google search screens, UPI's news summary page, the Washington Times page, etc. to document the timing of the publishing and retraction. If I had searched 15 minutes later, I might have missed it. OCD rules!
The denial reminds me of the NYT's story about the military bases in Iraq. But the White House jumped on this one very quickly. I time it as between 4 and 6 hours from original story to revision.
