Is this house in Willowdale by any chance? I think I grew up in that exact house. It's where I burned my Chatty Cathy doll.
nope, it's from Levittown. Someone else told me it reminded them of Willlowdale too.
Want to say how much I love this, before it gets archived. Those ubiquitous suburban sixties coldwar houses give me the dry heaves. They determine the activities of the occupants (jellied salads, hedge clippers, tinkertoys) in a way that older houses don't. And the bomb is both hilarious and expiating. Let's have that thing we're all terrified of and in love with finally happen, and get it over with.
