This is my last post to the main page of Sally's blog. Several weeks ago I booked a flight to a relentlessly Catholic country and I have to leave town soon, plus it will be really hard to get a good wi-fi signal in a gothic cathedral. Thanks to the generous loan of Sally's powerful laboratory microscopes I am able to leave you with this image of the College of Cardinals balancing on the head of a pin. (quite comfortably too!)
think of it as a sorbet
I couldn't say it better myself, nor would I.
Thanks L.M. have a good trip.
kudos - thom
Thanks so much, L.M.! It's been extremely educational, and without any wooden-ruler knuckle-slapping.
for those of you who are wondering why Bill is impersonating Thom, he's really impersonating Tom, or maybe that is Tom, using what they've determined is a Canadian spelling. Still doesn't make sense? Go here and here...it won't help.
That was an extraordinarily Byzantine explanation, Sally.
Thanks L.M.! I guess i'll have to finish off my holy week by watching reruns of Father Ted!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_Ted
maybe we can get a guest poster in to do a series on byzantium.
This is the real Thom, and I too am wondering if I am being impersonated. Its not really a Canadian spelling, but a be-jewelled spelling, in keeping with the pagentry we have all witnessed as humble students of L.M. Or maybe Bill is giving me kudos? dunno..........once again, I take my 'mitre' off to L..M.
Sally. Your family rocks!
Divine Coincidence: I was just looking at the Wikipedia file on Father Ted a day ago. I got there from a cross-link on Wiki's file on Kraftwerk: "Referred to several times in popular media, including Father Ted".
Shame he's dead, like the pope. Father Ted would have made a good pope.
