Thanks! The spinning vase was Von Bark's idea. That's two rodents, actually. When we arrived at the cabin, which was unpeopled all winter, the official mousetraps were empty. But two mice had for some reason ventured down into the bulb of this glass vase and been unable to get out again. VB's theory: the city mouse went in first, "hey, what's in here?" while his country cousin, said "no! wait, don't! Arg. d-oh." Then the country mouse got stuck too, trying to help him out. Nature has its darker side, etc...
