Pop quiz: what do the movies Elizabeth, Lost in Translation, and Zoolander have in common?
a: i didn't like any of them
blonde supporting actresses
can i still play? the directors are also actors
anybody else?
On behalf of anybody else, who elected me in a fair, U.N. monitored, national vote with very few irregularities, I hereby declare us clueless.
blanchet (elizabeth) murray(lost) and owenwilson (zoolander) all starred in life aquatic
i found the same answer as crossdressing troll (er, referencing). Damn you troll, i found the answer faster!
you're right. i had to watch each movie twice before the answer came to me. so you can have my loot bag prize
Hey troll, shouldn't you be using your time to prepare for an artists talk or something? hmmm, i'm gettin ideas for some questions to ask tomorrow.
thats it, nobody! let's settle this the old-fashioned way. Doom, Quake or Marathon. your choice.
...oh shit
It is too late to play? They are all within six degrees of Kevin Bacon.
Crossreferencing troll wins! yes Life Aquatic is the answer (they're all on Rotten Tomatos' if-you-like-that-you'll-like-this list). And the only reason I mention it is that we finally watched L.A. last night and I thought it was freakin' hilarious and one of the smartest and most visually satisfying films I've seen in ages (albeit super-duper-decadent). Which was not what I expected.
I just finished watching a hilarious movie called The Night Porter. That zany Italian lady director, Liliana Cavani and her wacky slapstick antics, she sure knows how to get the yuks!
It's a perfect date movie, just like Breaking the Waves. (someday, I'll be clerking in a video store in hell)
Life Aquatic is also akin to Royal Tannebaums, which if you like......
