I forgot to mention: the film Rhinocerous Eyes is really really fun. You need a bit of tolerance for f#*cked-up-stalker stories, but the script is really funny, the acting is great and the animation is visually and conceptually satisfying on many levels of detail. I love the nose made out of a spinning blue plastic rabbit. No more spoilers.
Veronica Verkley, a friend who worked on this film and was responsible for the super fantastic puppets, has an entry at IMDB (cool), which lists "mechanical deer designer" and "animatronic moose assistant" among her accomplishments.
Hey! I worked on Salt Water Moose too! (phoney web site animations for on-camera computer) (with a blue dot on the keyboard so that the actor knew what to press) Sadly, this info does not elevate me to the coolness level of Veronica's animatron moose. And what is more embarrassing, I wasn't on-line yet when I did it, so I got some 1995 tech magazine and tried to figure out what that damn internet webby thingy looked like. Fortunately the art director didn't know what the damn internet webby thingy was supposed to look like either.
But everyone knows what a moose looks like, so Veronica was probably held to a higher standard than the rest of us.
