Amazing game.
Absolutely brilliant. The whole Italian team looks like a boy band. The gymnastic diving was diabolical & operatic, and the feigned looks of pain were pure kabuki. (Totti, I'm talking to you) (...darling.)
At every new dramatic episode, one of my charming hosts, Carlo, would shrug and say: "Totti's a Roman, they're like that" (he also muttered something like: "would be fucking nice if he scored a goal too")
That pragmatic Teutonic team, they didn't stand a chance.
At Bar Italia we couldn't figure out what drink to have for the extra time scenario, being used to limonata to start, beer for the win and espresso for the stree. Viva azzurri!
