ive been trying to take shots like this forever, im obsessed with this kind of shit, the best ones are of the lt. generals or university deans, there is one in alberta, where the guy is just stomping over the prarie like some hickzilla
and i would have gone to the winter fair with you
This was a better choice than the art fairs going on at the same time. We stumbled into this room by accident, there's something about 100's of mediocre portraits that convince me that I want to paint 100's of mediocre portraits, but taking photos is easier.
A.S.E., You would have found the high wasp extravaganza such a hoot after growing up with Western fairs & exhibitions. (they all ride English style! They fucking fox hunt like a bunch of colonial wannabes.)
At least when I smell all that hay and manure I think "Grandma & Grandpa's farm!!!!" and get all blissed out remembering a time when I got whatever I wanted as long as it wasn't poisonous or pointy.
I think there were about 4 portraits of women in that room.
yea i saw that room - it was pretty neat - a bunch were painted by the same person and a rest by others - but real interesting room -
I was very curious about the painters--what a trippy gig!--though I neglected to write down their names and subsequently forgot them while watching the team of sequined little girls doing gymanstics on their pony in the next hall. I liked the first painter, who did most of them, better than the new one. The website does not promote the artists, nor even give their names.
