The link on Kenn's name goes to an essay by Michael Odom on a piece he exhibited at Mercer Union a few years back, called "Bee Movie", projected on a bank of large industrial fans. (the role of the bee was played by a wasp, so I was able to watch it.)

I haven't seen Kenn's work before. This series of stills is really haunting.

Hi Sally,

I've been watching Kenn's process for years now and think he is an incredible force: subtle, beautiful, intricate work that is conceptual, visually compelling, and rigorous.

Check out his piece in the '18 Illuminations' exhibition when it goes to Barrie. Get him to send you images of more recent work. I think he's terribly overlooked in the NY art world and generally. I'd love to see him given a forum.

I had to follow the link to Media Needle to see what that was and I got completely into the whole Tom DeLay blog/comments - I recommend it - its wonderful when someone of DeLay's minitude gets even a tiny bit of comeuppance. So now I am also quite interested in Mr Bass and will look out for more work...
