Miss Canadiana (a.k.a. Camille Turner)
From her site:
"Like many Canadians, Camille's cultural identity has been defined through the guise of "multiculturalism", as a fetishized display of "diversity" rather than an integral part of the fabric of Canadian culture."
She's not totally off-base with that statement. I like her witty play with the idea of multiculturalism, it's both generous and sly. A visiting artist from Berlin saw her once at an art event and asked me with total awe and admiration (she gives such good gown) if she really was "Miss Canadiana". "Well ya, of course she is!"
love the handbag
