Get back to work! When you're finished, THEN you can look for toxic spills, bird flu and tsunamis.
I have long adored that little square brown toothy thing. It's everywhere... but what is it? Also...is boil and squeak anything like bubble and squeak?
It's a Japanese character--I forget the name. Mark posted one chasing a kitten through a verdant field a while back.
thanks, yeah I did know it was from Japan. It's been around for years and years. The other day I almost took home a soggy ripped up piece of cardboard from the snow-melt gutter because a picture of that little guy was on it. It's a sign of my new maturity that I did not pick it up. Warning: don't google "cute brown Japanese" at work.
I'll have to go looking for that kitten chase.
Where does the big mouth bunny come from, I love him too.
aW! Silly tennis tantrum bunny. I never saw that one before. I also love him.
Speaking of crises, Von Bark and I drove past the ongoing Six Nations blockade in Caledonia on the weekend. It was pretty quiet, just a fence and a flag and a car and a cop car parked nearby. A very foggy drizzly day. The thing that struck me was how ugly the development looked. The region is really pretty, lots of patures and rolling fields and little woodlots strung out alongside the Grand River. This field was just a sea of mud and tire tracks, with a couple of stupid-looking partly built houses reminiscent of all the other butt-ugly buildings going up in suburbs all over the Golden Horseshoe. Later I heard Michael Enright interviewing the Indian Affairs minister, Jim Prentice on cbc. Prentice sounded like an okay guy, but I don't think that means very much. The situation is f*cked up.
I think the bunny is from the Rayman Raving Rabids video game. There's a whole series of promos that have the bunnies doing odd things. For example:

You're right, this one is good.
this shot looks familiar.
I just remembered--the brown thing is called a Domo-kun.
