the show was incredibly strong, my favourite though was the text peice above the door.

I liked this show too. Liked the photos better than the drawings. Golf clubs (as in club houses) are weird.

I have some sibling rivalry issues all mixed up with golf. In fact I can insert a sibling rivalry issue pretty much anywhere, but when I was a kid mom made ME polish all those stupid fucking golf trophies that my dad and brothers won in every tournament.

On my recent visit home I got to toss three boxes of those dusty ugly-ass trophies in the pile for the church rummage sale.

But I still love golf landscapes, especially on TV.

there is a really interesting blankness to golf on tv, esp when the audience sort of moves about, and the silence followed by exquiste tiny claps, and the completely artifical meant to ape nature landscapes...

they always remind me of marie antoinette(sp) playing pastoral with courtierers at versailles. (though it can be a working class game, my sister and raymonds brother both play on public courses with hand me down clubs.)

The class aspect becomes apparent around large urban centres. It didn't really exist in the small town I came from.
