Yay! Treaty!
Is that the official Russian Imperial Seal?
Otter! A guy passing by told his daughter that's why they call the nation's capital Otter-wa.
i am ashamed that lorna does not know the difference b/w an otter and a seal, she should be disfellowshipped by the blog.
I really thought it was a Russian Seal. (like chicken of the sea and buffalo wings)
Don't take away my lucrative blog fellowship. It's a license to print money.
Did you whack it? Is it sonorous?
Many folks have been rubbing its head, apparently.
I hope in the imagine round at trivia tonight there is a picture of an otter. I think Lorna will be wanting to make good on the above mis-identification.
whoops...nanmac above
okay, i meant Image round. i am going to stop posting at this god-awful early hour!! nm
not everybody wacks everything they see, M. Jean.
True enough, but this little playful mammal (to borrow a phrase from the land of crosswords) is whack-hungry.
the otter is on my way to work. I will whack it today and report back.
whack the otter is my favourite new dirty euphimism
Years ago, Fastwurms did a show called "Self and Otter".
Dirty old rain-soaked central Canadian otter-whacking tourist report: not very sonorous.
The otters (there are two of them) are too small to resonate well - in fact they are life-size, which is very cute, but not so satifsying with regards to audio. The one that is not pictured above has a slightly fatter belly and makes a little tiny bit of a boom, the other just makes a wet (in the rain) sort of slapping sound.
The "Other" (Fatter) Otter...
Thank-you, thank-you, sally mckay. Your kindness knows no bounds.
At the risk of no one caring, I am posting to say that at Trivia last night there was an image of a Jackal. We were not able to identify it correctly.
Excuse me, but someone's first guess answer was jackal, but she no longer has any credibility with identifying animals, so no one cared.
oh, that hurts!
We need to be careful with the pun here because it could become otterly ridiculous pretty quickly.
yer right joester, we otter be very careful.
This is approaching the otter limits.
