I just saw this lovely show - way to go, Jennifer! One of the things I like about JM's work is that it her presentation is not slick or fussy. In fact it is even kind of awkward (low rez. prints, bits of lint, and marks on the matboard). This kind of thing would normally detract from work in which the concept is subtle and refined but somehow in JM's case it seems essential. The whole package works together as a kind of unsentimental testament to the regular real world. You know, the one we live in, with all its glints and hints and dopplegangers. Like a cat, Jennifer sometimes seems to be staring at something that I don't see. But I believe it's there.
