What I really appreciated about this issue was that artfag nails why Thrush Holmes' work fails on several levels. I wasn't willing to think about it, there's worse art and better art out there, and though the amount of press he's received is a bit out of proportion to the actual quality of his work, it's still just a small local phenomenon. That said, artfag's essay on impatience has a broader significance.
