While you were listening to Pink Floyd or Frijid Pink or just Pink (I get so confused!) I was listening to Beau Dommage. I don't remember them getting any radio play in English Canada, but my friend Louise had just come back from a student exchange thingy in Quebec with their album in hand (and one by Harmonium). In the middle of the prairies we felt totally cosmopoliton and exotic when we listened to this stuff.
(I feel some Québécoise devotionals coming up and it's going to be pretty scary for some of you people. You got off easy just now with the sweet folky harmonies, but remember, Celine Dion wasn't formed in a vacuum.)
