I was just listening to the sheep soundtrack on my video camera and cracking up all over again. They're noisy little bastards.
I am a big fan of how they stick their tongues out when they go baaa. Sheep are supposedly so passive but every time they make a noise it's like a big FU to anyone in the vicinity.
Also, can I just say those petting zoo ruminants are haunting me. They come up to you with such an endearing look; sincere, earnest little smiles that seem to radiate "hello, I like you." Until they notice your hand is empty at which point they cut you dead colder than any popular bitch at high school. How hard they are working on those soft-eyed humanoid facial expressions, all day long, just to get another mouthful of crappy pellets. I lap it up every time. I'd probably get suckered by one a' them big eyeball robots too. Friggin Rodney friggin Brooks.
I just saw an episode of Nature of Things, and now Brooks is making a big eye robot (kinda looks like Domo that I linked to) that can play Go. Not chess, because we all know that making robots that play chess is passé, but Go. Completely different. And he said that he's making nice robots to have around the house because he's a baby boomer and he's afraid there won't be enough people to look after him when he's old. Thanks Rodney! first you unleash your infestation of insectoid bots on the world, and now your gonna give us a bunch of big eye goat-style bots that act all sweet and nice until you refuse to play Go and then whammo. No more fetchy-fetch the cough syrup and heating pad, just sulky mean robot staring out the window, looking for some other sucker to come along and give him a game.
robot paranoia aside, I do feel bad for those goats. I hate when I have to do fake smiling, myself.
sheep are mean and evil. venal creatures, and stupid.
