OK Harper made his appointment with the GG, so we'll know if he gets to cancel parliament for a month and rally or if the coalition will rule fair lovely Canada. Galenagalaxian told me about this petition. Or we could set cars on fire, or set cars on fire or maybe we could set fire to cars, or perhaps just setting fire to cars is what we can do. I saw a copy of the "real" Magna Carta once on a field trip in England and Sally's gifs put it to shame. Maybe if they digitized it with one of these on the cover, people would start reading it again....

Some misgivings expressed here. Though the point was brought up that future legislation could be introduced to prevent a politically motivated prorogation (our fabulous new word). But I think it's too good a weapon for other parties to turn down if they should need it.

Of course, in their meeting this morning, the P.M. did not express sincere concern for the safety of the G.G. or her family.
