We went to the Toronto Animal Sevices centre at the CNE gorunds. The people there were really really nice, level-headed and kind to both people and animals. The cats are fabulous.

I'd forgotten how excellent the sound of purring can be. I'd also forgotten how hilarious young cats are. They think everything is very very interesting and worthy of investigation, including fart noises, work socks and pencils.

Both! total cuteness is greater than the sum of the parts - especially when one of them grabs the string and drags it around on the floor for the other one to chase (they take turns doing this) or when they talk to each other with funny little meow-grunts, which I've never really seen cats do before.
