The Partridge Family were heavily influenced by Mondrian.

Who wrote their songs? Because they produced a few nicely crafted pop hits.

monkees have sort of gotten the hipster revival, but i always thot that the Partridge family were much better. Plus breaking branducee is trash epic.

When I was young TPF were rather uncool, but I still watched them regularly. When my sister bought their albums, I was most disappointed to read in the liner notes that they did not play their own instruments.

With hindsight and Wikipedia we now know that the musicians on their tracks are kinda mostly the same classic L.A. studio "Wrecking Crew" band that played on the Monkees songs.

I'm totally shocked that the two youngest kids aren't the real rhythm section.

More Trivia:

1) As you might know, David Cassidy is really in real life Shirley Jones' son. No other cast members are related.

2) David Cassidy was originally hired to lip-sync all of the songs. Only later did the producers realize that he wasn't a bad singer and let him perform the songs himself.

3) The original child actor percussionist was replaced after one season for being "obnoxious and hyperactive".

4) The TPF concept was originally based upon the real life story of the family pop-band 'The Cowsills', who apparently declined to star in the show.

Composer credits:

"I Think I Love You" was written by Tony Romeo, and is probably his best credit.

Other songs were written by many various session composers including Mann & Weil, and Boyce & Hart.

Almost all of the TPF recordings were produced and partly co-written by Wes Farrell, who co-wrote "Hang On Sloopy". Somebody oughtta tell The Mermen.

Susan Cowsill live stream from New Orleans FQ fest, Sunday about 345 Central Time. On Nola.com. But listening to the Zydepunks now and the picture is just a steady shot on one of the damn paddlewheelers on the river. And now two dingleberries on cell phones, no shot of stage so I don't know what's up with the video but the music's fine.
