Our Conservative government continues to pursue a fellatial relationship with the American Entertainment Industry.

I really like Jesse Brown from Search Engine on this stuff. In his May 31st podcast he says that the law will... ...criminalize hundreds of thousands of Canadians for doing quotidian, banal, natural things that everyone does with their media, things that Tony Clement and James Moore themselves have admitted to doing. James Moore has admitted to PVRing and Tony Clement admits to ripping cds to his ipod. They both claim they have never circumvented DRM. Maybe that's true. Most people over 40 haven't figured out how to do that yet and most people under 30 have. I'm kind of curious, Tony, if your kids have ever put any music on your ipod. But anyhow...it's coming. The Canadian DMCA, the bill that, if passed, will finally allow Hollywood to sue Canadians the way its been suing Americans.
He then goes on to hold out some hope for a successful public backlash that would squash the bill.
I like Jesse Brown too. But not as much as I like that dolphin giff!
