i like the satanic imagery at about 6:10 of the Busby compilation. 666! - r.e.c. (guest) 5-06-2013 11:43 pm
On Saturday I visited my mother, who has cable TV. After watching the Leafs win, Turner Classic Movies showed 'Footlight Parade' (1933) and '42nd Street' (1933).
In both films, depressed, stressed-out choreographers audition bevies of potential chorines, while assisted by clever wise-cracking secretaries, followed by strange and delirious geometric dance sequences. Some Kinda Real American Pop Surrealism Evolution.
('Footlight Parade' featured tough-guy Jimmy Cagney in a light comedy role, with some decent hoofing.)
