i think you said "rustic." that was an apt description. sort of upscale tavern or hunting lodge cuisine filtered through the lens of historical LES foodstuffs and the greenmarket moreso than standard new american comfort food. certainly has a less prissy feel than before. wheres the website again featuring that "fun to read" menu?

The website is not really up. But you can download the menu in .pdf form. MB did a great job. It's pretty unusual for the menu itself to be mentioned so prominently.

id agree though. very entertaining menu.

hmm. looks like you should use the menu as a template for the website and the manager dude should have a weblog alerting us to specials and such. who wouldnt check in for "vendor of the week!"

My idea was to give the chef a camera phone so he could have a photolog of going to the green market and visiting different purveyors.

If anybody can convert the pdf menu layout to validating (or even just mostly working) HTML I'll buy them dinner. It's a very hard design to convert.
