Wolf stove won't simmer here
this might be the least interesting post ever on dmt. please tell me you have a wolf gas cooktop.
I think I've figured it out. The burners have two tiers of jets. You have to trick it to get it to just use the lower row. It's been an ongoing issue that the fucker won't simmer. here
Pretty sure I have dozens of posts less interesting than this.
In any case, we have an NXR gas range that supposedly has burner parts made by the same German company that supplies Wolf (but assembled in China and much cheaper.) Same dual ring burner system, so when you turn it all the way down to simmer only the small inner ring is lit. Works amazingly well for me, although this is coming from an Ikea stove previously that couldn't simmer at all.
edit: didn't see your post Bill. That sounds right.
thats probably true though your posts might have been interesting to someone. this one was completely random had not the issue been a personal stumbling block which i could only pray it was.
Our Wolf range simmers wonderfully.
