Interesting. I think this is correct, except that it's not about the glass size so much as the glass shape. I guess if you have too much money you buy all the Reidel glasses (a different shape for every kind of wine,) and then yes, the red glasses will for the most part be large. But the tasting glasses I prefer (a present from the Wheel, of course) are quite small. They are great however (even for big red wines) because of the shape. You can definitely smell and taste the difference between the same wine in one of these glasses and in a regular crappy glass. That's a pretty cheap way to get an upgrade to your entire wine collection. I guess this part is the important thing: "And a properly large glass lets you swirl the wine before you taste it..." except being able to swirl is mostly about the shape, not size. Still, in general I think he's correct. Lots of bad wine glasses out there.
