is a smoothie a smoothie without banana? 

i forgot to put bananas in my smoothie.

Is it smooth?

I recently bought a blender to make smoothies. Today I neglected to get the bottom housing screwed on correctly and the contents exploded all over the kitchen when I flipped the switch. Yes, there were bananas, frozen ones, and blueberries. It was chunky, not smooth.

i started making my own oat milk this week. not quite there yet but good enough for smoothies. need to get an emulsifier so it doesnt separate (saw sunflower lecithin in one recipe) and probably a better strainer to reduce the chalkiness though that may need something else. still at the moment its just blending oats, water, vanilla & maple syrup and straining a couple of times. not even soaking as that tends to sliminess. 

Ate my first homegrown blueberry of the season today. They are usually rocking big time by 7/4. Different varieties that are pickable about a month.
