i just got mail-order, frozen pulled pork from Corky's BBQ in Memphis as a birthday present.
know what? pulled pork freezes very, very well. kicked the living ass off nyc 'cue.
bad news: it's frickin' 89 bucks for 6 pounds. i got a sampler that also has ribs. i haven't tasted them yet. but basically there's no way they're better than the pulled pork (i mean, it says right there on the website that the ribs are smoked for only seven hours, but the pulled pork is smoked for TWENTY-TWO.
shit.
guess maybe after years of thinking about it, it's finally time to try ordering some brisket from the Salt Lick (Texas' finest, IMNSHO (although the links from Luling City Market are pretty special, too)).
