Falai is great as mentioned above. Pastas are amazing. But it's a very modern NYC-ish Italian (it ain't rustic!).
Falai Caffe is the same sort of food but slightly cheaper price point and maybe a tiny bit more relaxed.
Lupa was always my favorite for something a little more traditional, but I haven't been there in a couple years now. I'll bet it's still great though.
Il Bucco, as already mentioned, is nice although I've had some mixed experiences there (but the good meals were really good.)
Had an amazing meal not long ago at A Voce. Expensive, but I really recommend this one if the price isn't too crazy.
And I had a pretty good meal at Locanda Verde recently. Definitely a happening spot. Nice room that is always crowded and buzzing. Chef came from A Voce.
There's a couple great ones in Brooklyn too (Locanda vini e olii and al di la)
