Great, will look forward to your visit/anniversary. I'll leave my number in the core so call me when you get here for sure, or anytime prior if I can be of assistance.

Peristyle I only know by reputation, supposedly good. Considering your experience I would be most curious of your ratings for area eateries. I don't eat out enough to offer much help right off the top of my head, but Uglesich's for sure is best dining in a dive. Specializing in oyster dishes. Not too many tables inside, and just a couple on the sidewalk. There was recent talk that he might shut down, he's tired, so I hope that's not the case when you get here. If I hear of, or think of any place that might be worth your consideration, I'll write it down. Of course there's all the Quarter mainstays like Arnaud's, Antoine's, Brennan's (or any of the ten Brennan restaurants around town, i.e., Commander's Palace) Court of Two Sister's, Galatoire's, and then there's Pascales Manale, uptown, on Napolean, which offers an amazing New Orleans style barbecued shrimp served head on in big bowl of garlic broth that will rock your world. I mean, I don't know, how long you staying?, there's a bunch of places you should try.

Also, I don't know what day Carnival (Mardi Gras) starts this year, as it revovles around that pagan formula I can never remember, but six weeks from now would often be near the start of it. And I don't know if local crawfish farmers are delivering product quite that early, but if they are you would pretty much have to fit in time and stomach space for that.
