The image system continues to change. The [upload] screen is now much different. All the album options are gone from there now. I like this more simple interface.
When an image upload is complete you are taken to the new /editpic/ page where you see the picture and all vital information. Below that you can delete the picture, and below that you can control in which, if any, albums the image belongs to. I think this is more straightforward as well. Check an album and the image goes into the album. Uncheck an album and the image comes out of that album.
You can also make a new album here. When you erase the final picture from an album the album itself disappears.
I am keeping it so that the old album URL scheme still works. So /image/album22/ still gets you my Paul Laffoley album, even though that URL is deprecated and the official URL is now /image/album/5/Paul_Laffoley/
I still have to put back thumbnail view when accessed from the new URL scheme. And some of the other /image/ listing pages are not complete design-wise.
So I've tired the insert <|number|> method. I like it. One suggestion. You may want to add another "private" field in the <img> tag that indicates the image number, for future reference. Something like image_number="number".
Also, I've notice the image library function seems to be partially broken. Image number: 4631 shows up in http://www.digitalmediatree.com/onelap/image/album97/ but doesn't show up in http://www.digitalmediatree.com/onelap/image/album0/.
Thanks. Yes, having the image number is probably useful. Good idea.
As for the other problem, that's actually worse than it appears. Thanks for pointing it out. The upload scripts are not populating the database correctly. I'll look into that now.
Okay, I think this is fixed now. Damn there are a lot of moving parts. Hard to be 100% sure. Please keep posting if you see things that don't seem right.
Not sure if this falls under the "not complete" category: I can't get back to the edit function (eg, http://www.digitalmediatree.com/editpic/?eid=4607) after the initial upload, and/or by clicking the number in the left column of the image library table. I just get a blank screen.
Where are you getting that link from? That's how it was originally done, but now it's ?pid= instead of ?eid. Probably I left a wrong link in somewhere. Obviously there should be some sort of error message rather than just a blank screen if it doesn't get the variables it expects.
I end up at the editpic page after an upload. Can you check again.
I did find and fix another problem with how the meta information was being entered into the database. Not sure if this was directly related to what you see.
I, too, end up at the editpic page after an upload. I just can't get back to it from the libraries. I cut and pasted that link from my "animated gif" library: http://www.digitalmediatree.com/tommoody/image/album78/. When I click the 4607 link in the upper left corner of the table I get a blank screen.
I've seen a similar thing. The image album pages need to be updated to generate the pid nomenclature.
Okay, thanks. Fixed.
