I'll move the server move discussions to here where they really should have been.
[editpage] should now be working again. Any reports to the contrary are appreciated. As well as any reports of other weirdness. I'm pretty sure there are still some bugs out there.
The faster load time is great.
I've found it to be generally faster, but with a slightly higher incidence of hanging midway through page load. Not sure if that's the site or my connection. If the page load hangs midway through I just hit reload and then it loads fast as usual. Anyone else seeing this?
I can't post here, so I'll put it in the thread.
I can't send mail via my apple mail client; I get:
Cannot send the message using the server ash.datamantic.com
The server response was: sorry, that domain isn’t in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.5.c – chkuser)
I think I've had some other error messages about certification, but nothing goes through via apple mail; I am able to send the same messages through squirrel mail.
You need to change a setting in Mail Preferences (in the Accounts section) concerning your Outgoing Mail Server. You have an older version of mail so I'm not sure exactly how it is worded. If there is an 'Advanced' button to click concerning the outgoing mail server what you want is probably in there. The server should be ash.datamantic.com (which it looks like you have correct.) But you also want to set it to use password authentication. In my version of mail I get a pull down menu where I can select between outgoing mail servers, and then the bottom option on the pulldown is 'edit server list...' When I choose that I can then select ash.datamantic.com and then I can get to the advanced settings. Once you choose password authentication you have to give it a username and password to authenticate with. Your name is you full email address and your password is your basic mail password. (The port should be 25, but it's probably already set to that.) Let me know how that goes.
Hi, Jim, I just discovered today the /create page is blank.
I'm trying to use the create function but the link at bottom menu just takes me to a blank page.
[create] is back, although I haven't tested it extensively.
Jim, [create] isn't working for me.
I get a message saying "there was a problem adding the page to the database."
I was able to use some old "blank" pages I'd previously wiped ([create] has a dropdown list) and change the URL in [editpage] to create new pages.
