Wow. I reproduced the "rachael bug" where you try to load the site and you just get a blank page and a 'document contains no data' error. Yuck. This is tied (I now see) to some weirdness in the log out process if you choose to erase the cookie from 'every computer with this cookie'. I think I see how to prevent this. Hopefully this hasn't been a problem for anyone else. (The quick fix is to quit your browser, then delete your cookie file, then restart your browser.)
Jim, It seems that on my system about half of the comments do not appear in red while half do. I have not yet noticed a pattern to it.
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean that in some cases the text of the comments is in red? Or do you mean that some comments are noted on your front page with a red [1 new comment] while other new comments seem not to be noted on the front page?
I checked your subscriptions. The system is keeping track of both new posts and new comments on all of the main pages except /core. You can tell the system to start tracking /core by going to www.digitalmediatree.com/core/subscription (just go to /core and click on [subscriptions] at the bottom of the page.) Change the tracking from 'off' to 'both' and then click 'update'. If you want to see what your subscriptions are to all pages, then go to www.digitalmediatree.com/subscriptions and you'll see a list of every page followed by [posts], [comments], or [both] indicating how the system is keeping track of new stuff for you. From that page you can change mulitple subscriptions at once.
Let me know what happens.
