It's mpeg. The quicktime file you made for me summer 2001.
560 megs, 486 x 324 pixels.
It's about the size of a large postage stamp when viewed through the "get info" preview mode and looks pretty good. I think it should be larger than that if possible but no need for it to be as large as it is now. Do you still have the original mini dv or did you give that back to me? (in which case it's in my apt in NYC) I could mail this disk to you if that helps. Would re-mpeg-ing be necessary to reduce the file size? If so, would there be a loss of quality?
Not sure how to determine the frame rate through quicktime.
I seriously doubt that popularity would be a problem.
