You used to be able to do this, but it was stripped out long ago in one of my many attempts to streamline everything. (Also, no one ever used it.)

I guess I don't think the complication this adds is worth the advantage it brings, since you can already post to just members on any of the private pages, or you could make your own new private page with just the members you want having access.

Or, in other words, I like having the page be the atomic unit in terms of security (rather than bumping it down to the individual post level.) This greatly simplifies the security model. Probably not a compelling reason for you, but in terms of development I need to keep things as easy as possible.

But I'm open to the case being made. There'd have to be a real need though.
