Apple TV projected to surpass TiVo, Netflix
I'm still having a hard time believing in this product. It certainly doesn't have anything on TiVo feature-wise. But as the iPod showed, having a lot of features is not a necessary condition to market success. And it may even be a counter indicator, so long as less features equals really easy to use (which it usually does in Apple's case.)
Anyway, WSJ columnist and gadget review king Walt Mossberg likes it, calling AppleTV simple and elegant.
Hands on impressions from gizmodo. It does connect directly to the net, and updates are pushed directly to it, as well as movie trailers. Interesting.
