Were you part of the installation or did you just pose with it for the picture? Jim showed me the other night how I can subscribe to other pages, I just added this one to my home page a few days ago. This is the first time i've seen something that you made. It's great, work with a sense of humor is my favorite. When Frank comes to town (if in fact he really shows up) I definately want to be part of the studio visit.

Hi, Sarah--

I just saw your comment tonight. I created this page recently and haven't done anything with it. Thanks for adding it to your front page. Most of my activity's been on other pages, but eventually I'll start filling this up.

In answer to your question, these are examples of my early, photorealistic-style painting, which I did from roughly 1976 - 1992. I think I told you I had a toxic incident with turpentine and stopped working this way soon thereafter.

These guys were my high school and college friends in the '70s. I put myself in the picture for scale--of course I was also posing in the style of my subjects, so I guess it had a performance aspect. I'm glad you think the picture(s) are funny. When I showed these originally, in the high-gloss eighties, people freaked right out.

Of course it'd be great if you'd come to the studio next month. I have one or two things in this vein I can show you, even though I've been keeping this phase of my career under wraps since I moved to NY.
